The Café
In our café we serve breakfast, lunch and tea with a wide selection of lovely cakes and tarts that are all made in our kitchen and available throughout the day. So why not try our cooked breakfasts or maybe something a bit lighter such as our own delicious muesli with fresh fruit.
For lunch you will always find a selection of savoury tarts to try with or without our fresh tasty salad bowls. Or choose from our dish of the day lunch time special menu.
Our afternoon teas are something special, served in a traditional way, but with a contemporary twist. Freshly baked scones jam and Somerset clotted cream and a delicious selection of sandwiches, cakes or tarts.
We serve Mendip Moments ice-cream, made from milk and cream from a pedigree dairy herd of Holstein cows which graze leisurely on lush pastures overlooking the Somerset levels and Glastonbury Tor. Two sizes are on offer - 120ml to enjoy at the café in a choice of flavours: vanilla bean, strawberry, chocolate chunk, latté crunch, clotted cream and honeycomb, mango and lime sorbet, raspberry & elderflower sorbet; and 500ml to indulge at home in vanilla bean, stem ginger and strawberry.
For that special occasion or just a treat you could try our Champagne Afternoon Tea. We also have a selection of loose leaf tea to choose form, selected especially for us by Miles Tea in Somerset. Or just call in for a glass of wine or a taste of Luscombe Organic Cider or Apple Juice.
If you feel like the hustle & bustle of café life we have a seating area at the front of the café next to the shop. Or if it is something more peaceful you are after there is a always the art deco armchairs and the newspapers in our snug.
We also have a small private dining/meeting room that can be used for a special Birthday lunch or tea, a meeting, event or exhibition. Come and have a look and talk to us about what you would like to do.
We are open from 8:30am until 5.30pm Tuesday to Saturday and 10am until 5.30pm on Sundays.
