“I recently celebrated my 40th birthday and, rather than shuffle into my forties trying to pretend it wasn’t happening, decided to celebrate with a party at Tart. And celebrate I did!
“I met Jennie several times who, with her daughter Ellen and Chef Andrew, worked with me to make the party just as I wanted it. We had drinks and dancing for around 70 and the most delicious bespoke buffet of savoury tarts, salads, a beautiful slow roasted joint of gammon and a local cheese board. My birthday cake was an enormous and quite gorgeous Boston cake that really had the Oooh! factor.
“It was a great evening and a very happy occasion to share with my family and friends. In fact several friends returned to Tart the next day, asking if they could order exactly the same food again!
